Gudelia Diaz

Gudelia Diaz, 94 of Mendota passed away peacefully on June 13,2025 with her loving family by her side. Visitation will be June 20 from 5-8pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on June 21 in Holy Cross with Rev. Greg Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family.

Gudelia was born January 2, 1931, in Piñicuaro, GTO, Mexico to José and Felicitas (Piña) Gutierrez. She married Refugio Diaz in Mexico and shared 60 years of marriage before his passing.

Gudelia is survived by her large, loving family. Sons: Jesus (Olivia Guzman) Diaz, Raul Diaz and Deacon Hector (Maria) Diaz all of Mendota; daughters: Lourdes Reyes of Lynnwood, Esperanza (Juan Avila) Diaz of Mexico, Reyna (Mario) Mandujano of Mendota. Arcelia Escatel of Rochelle, Maria T. (Crispin) Cuevas of Katy, TX., Teresa (Marco) Campos of Katy, TX., Leticia (Evitelio) Guzman of Mendota, Maria Eloina (Ramiro) of Katy, TX., 43 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Able, 2 brothers Eusebio and Refugio Gutierrez, 3 sisters: Maria, Eleasar, and Soledad Gutierrez. Memorials may be directed to the family.
