Gregory Foreman
- May 15, 2025

Gregory “Red Dog” Foreman, 59, of Peru, passed away May 13, 2025 peacefully at his home, with his loving family at his side.
Greg has chosen to selflessly donate his body to science for neurology research, to hopefully help understand his extremely rare condition.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, May 19, 2025 at Crossbridge Community Church, Ottawa with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of services Monday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Greg was born June 28, 1965, in Erie, PA. Greg was one of eight children born to Frank and Elvira “Ellie” (Williams) Foreman. He married his high school sweetheart, Robin Thompson, June 9, 1985, in Danville.
Greg worked as a semi-truck driver for 23 years, going by his handle, Red Dog. Greg’s passion as a professional driver continued on even after his ability to drive was taken due to his neurological condition. He showed his love for driving by sharing stories with his family and driving his RC cars with his grandsons. In his free time, he also loved to golf and work in his yard. Most importantly, Greg was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Greg always had a smile on his face and loved to make people laugh – if you knew him you knew he was a jokester.
He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Greg is survived by his wife, Robin of Peru; his daughter, Amy (Duane II) Duncan of Ottawa; his son Ian, (Tiffany) Foreman of Peru; three grandsons, Duane III, Dreager, and Dezlan Duncan; three granddaughters, Blayke, Layla, and soon to arrive Sophia Foreman; his mother, Ellie Foreman of Oglesby; three brothers, Wally, Bryan, and Kevin Foreman; two sisters, Vicky and Gail Foreman; and his father-in-law, Gary Thompson of Streator.
He was preceded in death by his father; two siblings, Leroy Foreman Jr. and Angela Foreman; and his mother-in-law, Sara Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
