Gina Johnson

Gina Teresa Johnson, 52 of Oroville, CA died peacefully on September 8, 2023, from her courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her mother, Esther Stutz of Oroville, her sister, Lara Gomez of Stockton, Lara’s daughter Kayla and son-in-law Tony Bettancourt of Tennessee, and her son Alex Gomez of Stockton. Her brother Shawn Michael Johnson, wife Amy, sons’ Colby, Skyler, Zander and step-daughter Aubrey of Oroville. Her half-sister, Leslee Choate of Sacramento. Her (5) Aunts, (5) Uncles and numerous cousins from Lodi, Sacramento and Palm Springs. Her half-brothers, Mike Bower in Washington, Shane, Lane and Fred Seward in Idaho, Josh, Todd and Scott Johnson in Sacramento, and half-sister Erica Johnson in Maine.

Gina was born in Durango, Colorado on January 6, 1971, to Esther and Fred Johnson. She was born with Cerebral Palsy and although she had many uphill battles with her health, she was a strong and dedicated daughter, sister and friend. She graduated from Las Plumas High School in 1990, bought her own home and was dedicated to her faith as a Jehovah Witness. She enjoyed photography, recording old movies, taking care of her yard, traveling with her mom, and spending time with her family.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness at 7490 Gene Way, Palermo, CA 95968. Thank you to Freedom Hospice of Marysville and Butte Home Health.
