Geraldine Wells

Geraldine Ann Wells, known affectionately as Dine Wells, passed away on August 24, 2025, in her residence at Granbury, Texas. She was born on June 17, 1963, in New Orleans, LA, USA, to her parents, Geraldine Couvillion and Richard Burr. Geraldine was a loving, supportive woman whose family mattered most to her. She was a proud graduate of Upshur County.

Geraldine was a devoted wife to Rodney Wells Sr., whom she married on August 8, 1981, in Quitman, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life, centered on love and mutual respect. Geraldine was not just a supportive partner but also a dedicated co-owner in their family business, where she worked as a bookkeeper and secretary. Her attention to detail and organizational skills were instrumental in the success of their business. Geraldine’s contribution went beyond the financial aspect; she was the heart of the operation, always ensuring that the business embodied the values of family love and unity.

Geraldine Wells is survived by her husband, Rodney Wells Sr., their children, Rodney Jr., Angela Payne, and son-in-law, Rob Payne. She also leaves behind her father, Richard Burr, and her brothers, Perry Burr, and Brian Burr. The joy of being a grandmother was one of her greatest delights, and she cherished every moment with her grandchildren, Seth Payne, and Aerial Payne. And her brother-in-law, Wayne Wells. Geraldine was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Couvillion.
