George Ovanezian

George Ovanezian, MD, age 89, of Scarsdale N.Y., passed away peacefully in his home on June 8, 2025.

George was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years.

George enjoyed playing tennis, chess and traveling. He enjoyed the arts and listened often to classical music and opera. He loved teaching and sharing his knowledge about European art, history and music with others. George also loved to tell stories about his past experiences in life. He served as Director of Anesthesiology of New Rochelle Hospital for over 30 years.

George is survived by his two children, Andrea and Daniel, along with two grandchildren. He also leaves behind close friends.

Visitation will be held at George T. Davis Funeral Home located at 16 Shea Place in New Rochelle, NY. Viewing will be on Friday, June 13, 2025 11:30AM – 1:30PM at the funeral home.
