George Henry

George Henry beloved Father, Husband, and Brother passed on Thursday, the 7th of August 2025. He died peacefully in his home. He is survived by his children and sisters. He will be missed dearly. George was a machinist by trade. He was also long time shop steward, advocating on behalf of his fellow employees. He was a union man, IAM Local 1546. He was an active member of the Catholic community and was a Scout Master with the BSA for many years, Troop 78, Alameda. He gave a lot of time to participating a parent volunteer with the Encinal High School Marching Band during his daughter’s attendance there. George was known for his sense of humor and friendly demeanor. He made friends wherever he went and was the type of man to give you the shirt of off his back. He will always be remembered by those that knew him. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass Saturday September 13, 2025 at 10:00AM at St Philip Neri Catholic Church 3100 Van Buren Street, Alameda, CA. God rest his soul.
