- May 16, 2025

George Dee Hardman was born August 26, 1942, in Salt Lake City Utah to Jenny Van Otten and Lehi Richard Hardman. He graduated from this life on May 15, 2025, at the age of 82 of natural causes.
He loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was honored to work in the Provo Temple and Timpanogos Temple. As a young man he served an LDS Mission in Australia, he later served a service Mission in Provo at Deseret Industries. He and his wife served in the Family and Church History Mission in Salt Lake on Temple Square and loved their daily trips back and forth on the train meeting new people.
He was a talented writer and enjoyed writing poetry. His writings covered a variety of topics, comical, religious, family, love and outdoors. He self-published two books of his poetry and loved sharing his talent with most everyone he came across. He spent several years participating in Cowboy poetry reading festivals in Heber City, Utah as well as other parts of the state.
He loved spending time in the mountains hunting and fishing. He longed for the days he got to share nature with family and friends.
He is survived by a son Brett (Rachelle), daughter Tauni, five grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
The family extends thanks to the staff and residents of Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Lindon, as well as Randi and her co-workers at Serenity Hospice who were so attentive to Dee’s needs and gave him a large group of new friends. You are precious to us.
