Garry Motto
GARRY D. MOTTO, 76 of Daggett passed away peacefully on Thursday July 17, 2025 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center – West in Peshtigo following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Gary was born on January 9, 1949 in Daggett to Stewart and Arlene (Berger) Motto. On February 21, 1981, Gary married Cynthia “Cindy” Zavada in Stephenson, MI. Gary was president of Motto Cedar Products for many years. He loved deer hunting and bear hunting. Gary further enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include his wife: Cindy of Daggett; 2 daughters: Torie (Michael) Krozell of Wallace and their children: Taya, Anika and Kasen; Shannon (Jennifer) Longnion of CA and their children: Kyan and Rayn; 1 son: Garry (Angie) Motto Jr. of SC and their children: Steven, Sam, Shawn, Sarah and Sophia; sister: Bobbi Jo Majkrzak of Daggett; 4 brothers: Jim (Debbie) of Stephenson, Gar (Jeanne) of Daggett, Gene (Cindy) of Daggett and Joe of Daggett; mother-in-law: Kathy Machalk of Stephenson; sister-in-law: Lauri (Mark) Zavada of Porterfield; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Stewart and Arlene; and brother-in-law: Greg Majkrzak.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the Motto family with arrangements.
