Ernest Crozier
December 24, 1945 – September 22, 2025
Ernie Crozier, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 22, 2025, in Fairfield, California, at the age of 79. He was born on December 24, 1945, in Yakima, Washington.
Ernie proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. Though he rarely spoke about his service, he carried a lifelong pride in being an American.
He married the love of his life, Bonnie, in 1970, with whom he shared many years of devotion and companionship. Together they raised their children, Ernie and Tammy, and watched their family grow to include Tammy’s children Amanda, Kimberly, and Cameron, as well as Ernie’s daughter Mackensie. He also adored his great-grandchildren Jayden, Sofia, Avery, and Colter, who brought him endless joy.
Ernie was a man of simple pleasures and steady passions. He loved fishing and was known for crafting his own sinkers, often sharing them with others. He also had a lifelong love of football and faithfully cheered for the Washington Redskins.
Family and friends will remember Ernie for his quiet strength, quick humor, and the deep love he carried for those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
“To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’,
Just tell ’em I’ve gone fishin’.”
