Ernel Gobert

Ernel Gobert passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at a later date with his parents in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

Ernel enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and riding his motorized bike around town. He adored his dog “Baby Girl” and loved life, always doing it his way. Ernel will be loved and missed by his family.

He is survived by three sisters, Marlene Thibodeaux and her husband Randy of Crowley, Lisa Simon and her husband Chad of Lafayette, and Melissa Broussard and her husband George of Paulina, LA; and one brother, Vernon Gobert, Jr. and his wife Tina of Crowley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ernel is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Rosalie Fontenot Gobert.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
