Ellen Minnick

Ellen Minnick passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on October 14, 2025. She was 60 years old. Ellen is survived by her siblings, Marybeth Smith (Jim), Paula Minnick (Chris Donnelly), Joann Haly (Bud), and David Minnick (Michele); nieces, Maddie Haly, and Chloe Minnick; and nephews, Mark Smith, Brian Smith, Max Haly, and Jake Minnick. Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Ellen Minnick, Eugene Jr Minnick and Kevin Smith.

Ellen was born on March 8th, 1965, in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Whitmarsh Highschool in 1983. Ellen worked at Giant Supermarket for 10 years in the Quakertown area.

Ellen resided in the Life Path program that ensures that people with intellectual disabilities can lead the “everyday lives”. She enjoyed several activities such as bowling, softball, dances and trips to the Jersey shore. She also loved animals such as cats and dogs.

Ellen enjoyed time spent with her family celebrating birthdays, holidays and some weekends at their family summer home on the water.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ellen’s Life Celebration on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Boyd Horrox Givnish Life Celebration Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. A prayer service will begin at 11:00 AM. Ellen will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
