Ellen Bucchino

Ellen Bucchino, 89 passed away peacefully Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Robert Bucchino who died in 2013.

She was born on April 12, 1936 in Milford, Massachusetts to the late Francis J. and Blanche (Pooler) Drugan.

A lifelong resident of Milford, Ellen was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Milford, a member of Sacred Heart Church in Milford.

She spent her entire career working for New England Telephone and later Verizon. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Ellen loved traveling yearly to Aruba and Las Vegas with her husband Bob. She enjoyed spending time at the lake at her daughter’s house in New Hampshire, She liked going for walks, sitting by the pool and working in her yard. She especially loved her crafts and would decorate her home for each of the seasons.

Ellen is survived her daughter Cheryl and her husband Robert Knowlton of Milford, one sister Mary Drugan of Medway and one brother, Joseph Drugan of Hopedale, and many nieces and nephews.

 She was the sister of the late , John Drugan, David Drugan, Matthew Drugan, Francis Drugan Jr., Margaret Beyer,

Catherine Hackenson, and Linda Price. 

Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 8:30-9:30 am at the BUMA-SARGEANT Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street, Milford, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 5 E Main Street, Milford.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rte 109, Milford
