Elizabeth “Liz” Hams
Elizabeth “Liz” Pauline Hams passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 surrounded by her caring family. Liz was born January 24, 1953 in International Falls, MN.
Liz was a proud mother and grandmother and a loving sister and auntie. She enjoyed time with her special friends the “Dock Party Girls” and friends from the Class of 71, the “Rainy Lake Sisterhood”. She enjoyed her dogs, shopping, traveling, and tending to her flower gardens. She adored her granddaughters and enjoyed playing games and baking with them. Liz had a remarkable journey in her Faith that sustained her through life’s challenges.
She is survived and will be missed by her husband Steven; daughter Kelly (Adam); granddaughters Olivia and Claire and sister and best friend Susan Johnson (Ralph); sister in law’s Susan Imhof (Rudy) and Diane (Dick) Stenberg. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly; parents William and Monica Hilke and in laws Lawrence and Lucille Hams and Larry and Bev Hams.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Community Cancer Walk in support of providing gas cards to those in need. Checks may be payable to the United Way of Northeastern Minnesota and mailed to RLMC 1400 Highway 71 International Falls, MN 56649 (Attn: Chemotherapy Department).
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 13th at 11:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
