Edwin Credeur, Jr.
OPELOUSAS ~ Edwin Ellis Credeur, Jr., age 61, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in New Orleans.
Survivors include his mother, Theresa Ann Israel; his brothers, Ellis John Credeur (Shelia) and Stephen Credeur (Jennifer); one sister, Melissa Credeur; one half-sister, Brenda Smith; his nieces, Sabrina Credeur and Hailey Leger; and his Godchild, Logan Leger.
Edwin Ellis Credeur, Jr. was a native and longtime resident of Opelousas. A man devoted to his faith, Edwin could often be found volunteering at Christian Life Church, where he served his community with a kind and generous spirit. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and spent many peaceful hours fishing and enjoying nature. Edwin also had a special love for animals, always showing compassion and care for every creature, he encountered. He will be remembered for his gentle heart, his devotion to faith and family, and the joy he brought to those around him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Ellis Credeur, Sr.; and his sister, Barbara Credeur.
