Edward Harris (“Eduardo,” “Bo,” “Eddie,” “Haji”)

Edward Lewis Harris, age 62, of Middletown, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital on May 4, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Eddie was born on July 17, 1962, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Marvin Douglas Harris and Esther Harris. From an early age, he was known for his joyful spirit and sharp intellect. Alongside his sister, Lori Ann Harris, he attended Tolland High School.

Throughout his life, Edward wore many hats – father, husband, brother, son, electrician, sound man, and loyal friend. He was deeply passionate about his beliefs and sought to understand the world around him with curiosity and conviction.

He married Janeen Shaw and together they raised three beloved children: Tyler, Lincoln, and Jaqueline, all of whom he cherished dearly.

Edward is survived by his children, sister Lori, and a host of other relatives and friends who will continue to celebrate his life and carry forward his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Douglas Harris, his mother Esther Harris, and his wife Janeen Shaw Harris, who passed just days before him on May 1, 2025.
