Edward “Ed” Bentler
Edward “Ed” Duane Bentler, 68, of Cornell, WI., originally from Fergus Falls, MN., passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 31st, 2025.
Ed was born October 13th, 1956 to Martha and Lloyd Bentler of Richville, MN. After graduating high school he joined the Marines, “Semper Fi!” Ed married Stephanie Bentler in 2001. Ed had many jobs, a jack of all trades, but loved any job where he could be outside. He loved having fires, fishing, hunting, anything that let him be in the fresh air. Ed had a huge heart and helped anyone he could. His love for his family was genuine and it was known. Ed will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Preceding him in death are his parents- Lloyd and Martha; his wife- Stephanie; and his daughter- Kim.
Ed is survived by his step-children- Shawnna Keever of Chippewa Falls, Krista Keever of Cornell, Michelle Hickson of Cornell, Miranda Peiffer of Stanley, and Michael Hickson of Cornell; grandchildren- Kyle Bentler of Stanley, Eric Bentler of Withee, Dohnny Winchell of Stanley, 17 more grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild; cousins- Janelle Jorgenson of Battle Lake, MN., Jason Jorgenson of Minneapolis, and Chuck Crawford of Knapp; and many close friends.
A private family service will be held in the near future.
