Edward Clark
Edward Levy Clark, 93, of 7610 Trinity Church Road, Church Road, VA, departed this life on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Bon Secours – Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. He was born January 1, 1932, to the late Levi and Annie Clark.
Mr. Edward was previously employed by Cecil Williams Sawmill. Edward enjoyed gardening with his late nephew and spending time talking with his nieces and nephews about the good ole days. As we all know he really enjoyed going on fishing trips with his good friends, Michelle Vaughan, Skinner Coleman and Donald Coleman. It was rare he would miss a family function, stepping in with his hat on ready to dance.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his devoted sisters, Leola C. Howard, Ruth Chase, and Lucy Clark; brothers, Richard, Robert, and Luther Clark; devoted nieces, Bertha V. Bland (Howard) and Shirley Payton and aunt, Dorothy Clark.
Left to cherish his memories his are his six nephews, among them two devoted George L. Howard, Sr. (Paulette/Caregiver) of Church Road, VA and Gregory Howard of Dinwiddie, VA, along with Richard Wilkerson and Henry Wilkerson both of Petersburg, VA, Lewis Wilkerson of North Carolina and Edward Clark of Dinwiddie, VA; brother-in-law, Freddie Chase, San Francisco, CA; a host of great nieces and nephews, six devoted; LaTonia, Janiyah and George L. Howard, Jr. all of Dinwiddie, VA, Sonia V. Purcell of Alamogordo, NM, Devon Mason (Alicia) of McKenney, VA, Darius Mason( Diondra) of Chesterfield, VA and Adanta Morgan of of Matoaca, VA; a host of friends and family among them devoted, Carl Johnson, Theodore Booker, Phillip Henshaw, Shirley Gordon, Elsie, Jessie, Carl and Vernon Bland, Peter Johnson, Russell Gholson, Jr., and the Bland and Gholson Families.
Special thank you to Dinwiddie Health & Rehab staff, the Bon Secours Medical Center staff, and his niece-in-law, Paulette Howard for taking care of Mr. Clark. You all are greatly appreciated for your hard work and dedication.
Public Viewing will be Friday, September 26, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Poole Baptist Church, 9515 Baltimore Rd., Ford, VA with the pastor, Dr. James R. Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Poole Baptist Church Cemetery.
