Eduardo “Eddie” Tiong

Eduardo Cabatbat Tiong peacefully passed away at home on May 25, 2025, at the age of 74. His family is deeply saddened and shocked by his untimely death. Known to everyone as Eddie, he was born on July 20, 1950.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Maria Nida (née Macaraeg), with whom he shared 53 wonderful years, and their children: Emilyn, Elizabeth, Eric, George, Michael, and Edie (Edielyn). He will be forever cherished and remembered by his six grandchildren: Jordan, Jason, Jessica, Angeline, Victoria (Tori), and Sean.

Eddie was a devoted family man who would do anything for his loved ones, no matter how tired he felt. His passion for cooking and sense of humour won him many friends over the years. However, his most remarkable trait was his generosity. Whether you were family, a friend, or a stranger, he always made sure you were well-fed. Eddie was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back

He loved family gatherings, where everyone enjoyed his delicious food, shared laughter, and created lasting memories. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide those he impacted. Though we mourn the loss of his physical presence, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through the love he instilled in all of us.
