Edna Holley

Edna Penelope Holley was born August 13,1927 to the late Fred and Edna Robbins. Shedeparted this life Sunday May 18, 2025. She is agraduate of the Bertie County public schoolsystem. “Sis Robin”, as she was lovingly called,gave her life to Christ at an early age at SandyPoint Baptist Church in Windsor, North Carolina. 

Edna was married to the late Ernest LeeHolley. Through this union, they were blessedwith three children: one son Sultan, and two daughters Louella and Janette. During their marriage, Ernest, or Pig as she would call him, would chauffeur her to and from her job as aDomestic Caretaker.

Edna is lovingly remembered by her children:Louella McGill (James) of Virginia, Janette Ford(the late Glen) of Virginia, Sultan Shabazz (thelate Zakiah) of North Carolina, Gregory, her grandson whom she raised of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
