Douglas Martin

Douglas G. Martin, age 77 of Squaw Lake, died on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his home.

A celebration of life will be held at Faribault Eagles Club, 2027 Grant St, Faribault, on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m. with a time of sharing at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be held at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault at a later date.

Douglas, son of Russell and Viola (Headline) Martin, was born on January 11, 1948, in Faribault. Once receiving his associates degree, he worked as a Union Pipefitter for many years. In his free time, Douglas enjoyed drag racing in Brainerd, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed time with family and friends.

Douglas is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Shawn) Murphy and their two children, Grady and Remy; brother-in-law, Greg Barta; special friend, Julie Hemphill; many friends in Squaw Lake and Faribault.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Adam Martin; sister, Diane Barta.
