DONAVON E. MOHR, 96

Donavon Edward Mohr, 96, died on May 21, 2025 at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, SD as the result of an automobile accident.

Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 30 at the Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park, Iowa, with Pastor Russell Steele officiating. Military honors were by American Legion Post #371 of Lake Park at the graveside. Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn, Welcome and Trimont MN is in charge of arrangements.

Donavon was born on July12, 1928 at Terril, IA., the son of Walter and Dorothy (Kumba) Mohr. He graduated from Jackson High School and served four years in the Air Force, stationed at the Air Force base in Rapid City, SD, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He farmed and worked in the construction industry until his retirement. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Jackson American Legion.

He is survived by one sister, Wanda Gaffney of Jay, New York, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lois and Norma Jean, and brother Karl.
