Donald Gillespie

Donald (Donny) Gillespie, 80, passed away on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, in Dallas. He was born on March 2, 1945, in Camden, New Jersey to Ridley and Mabel Gillespie. Donald was a veteran of the United States Navy. He loved his job as a Counselor helping the blind. Donald just loved helping people, and he was involved with the AA Organization, and he also ran a Sober Living House for anyone in need. Donald was a great man with a big heart, and he will be missed dearly by his family and all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Barbara Centeno and Caroline Gillespie, a brother Norman and a sister Jeanne.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Alicia Gillespie; daughter Mabel Gillespie; granddaughter Harley Dawn, and a grandson Rocco.

Visitation will be from 10am-11am on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose, Texas. Graveside services will follow at 11:30am. Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow/ Glen Rose, Texas.
