Donald Dale Bailey

October 17, 1948 – July 3, 2025

Donald Dale Bailey passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, in Bellingham, Washington, at the age of 76.

Don was born in Eureka, California, on October 17, 1948, to Darrell and Lorraine Bailey. He moved to Bellingham as a child with his mother and spent the rest of his life in the area he called home.

As a U.S. Army veteran, Don served during the Vietnam conflict. After his military service, he worked at Target before finding lasting purpose as part of the custodian staff for the Bellingham School District. He took great pride in his work and was known for his reliability and kind nature.

A devoted father, Don is survived by his two children, Shannon and Tegan, who were the center of his world. He was a good and loving dad, and his presence in their lives was a constant source of support and strength.

Don had a lifelong love for science fiction, especially Star Trek, and found joy in exploring the worlds beyond through books and television.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, sense of duty, and the care he gave to his family and work.

There will not be a funeral now to mark his passing. He has been cremated and his ashes will be quietly laid to rest beside grandparents on August 7th at Moles Farewell Tributes & Crematory – Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, WA.
