It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Hillseth on July 3, 2025. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.

Christopher was born on December 18, 1953, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Los Angeles. That December marked the beginning of the Marian Year in the Catholic Church, and the Sisters of Charity at St. Vincent’s celebrated by waiving labor and delivery fees for families welcoming a child. Christopher, the sixth child of Kermit and Isabel Hillseth, arrived as a joyful surprise—a treasured blessing from the very start. He was raised in Pasadena, California, alongside his six siblings, in a home filled with strong values, deep faith, and a lasting sense of family.

Chris was admired for his integrity, warmth, and entrepreneurial spirit. He approached life with curiosity, joy, and a true sense of adventure. Beyond his many personal passions—sailing, golfing, and exploring the world—his greatest pride was his role as a devoted father to five children and a loving grandfather to four.

Professionally, Chris served as President of Chris Hillseth Enterprises, building upon a proud family legacy in the industry. With over 40 years of personal business experience, he combined vision with execution, always striving to lead with authenticity and serve others with excellence.

As we continue to process this tremendous loss, we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends, colleagues, and the wider community.

A memorial service honoring Chris’s life will be held on Thursday, July 24th at 10:00 AM at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Pasadena, California.
