On Thursday, June 26, 2025, the gentle and quiet spirit of our beloved, Diane B. Drayton, had taken flight and transitioned from this earth life to her heavenly home.
Born on March 26, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Odessa Diana Drayton Williams and James Bowling. Diane was raised in Kings County – family later moved to Trenton New Jersey. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age, and received the knowledge of Christ.
Diane received her formal education at Our Lady of the Divine Shepherd Elementary School, and then on to Cathedral High School, in Mercer County. After graduation, Diane enrolled at Mercer County Community College, majoring in computer science, earning her “Associates of Arts Degree”.
Diane’s passion for sports continued well after her playing days in high school, where she played basketball.
Diane was employed with Bell Atlantic Company for 10 years, and later on went into the medical field where she retired after 20 years.
Diane leaves to cherish her memories her companion of 43 years, Donald Inman of Trenton New Jersey; one brother, O’Neal (Michelle) Spearman of Columbus New Jersey; one niece, Evangelist Akua (Raymond II) Sutton of Philadelphia Pennsylvania; two nephews, Brian Rhodie and Neal Hearn; four great nieces, Anastasia, Allura, Nola and Rayna; four great nephews, Ahmad, Raymond III, Brandon and Ahmir; two aunts, Beatrice Gillespie of Satellite Florida and Inez Dash of Columbia South Carolina; a very close cousin / sister, Dr. Helen P.
