Dennis Doty

Dennis Charles Doty, age 80, of Osceola, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 11, 2025, at his residence in Osceola.

Dennis was born August 18, 1945 to parents Erving Doty and Selma (Tolzman) in St. Croix Falls, WI. He attended St. Croix Falls High School and graduated in 1964. The next year, Dennis enlisted in the Army and spent 2 years serving during the Vietnam War. Dennis met Jeanne Kohrt at Trollhaugen at a country music show, and not long after, the two were married. Dennis and Jeanne were wed October 28, 1968, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa and to this union had three children: Denise, DeAnne, and Jason.

Dennis loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taking the kids camping every weekend as they grew up. Dennis had a great sense of humor and was a huge Packers fan. He spent most of his working career as an electrician, being a part of the IBEW union for over 35 years.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanne; children, Denise (Scott) Dittrich, DeAnne Doty, and Jason (Jessica) Doty; grandchildren, Melissa (Robert) Dehn, Andrew Huot, Krystal Dittrich, Anthony Dittrich, Jack Doty, Xavier Doty, MacKenzie Doty and Alexa Doty; great-grandchildren, Stacy, Zoey, and Wyatt Dehn; sisters, Carol Montpetit and Connie Cox; sister-in-law, JilAnne (Patrick) Waddle; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Patti) Kohrt and Michael Kohrt; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Erving Doty Jr; brothers-in-law, Bob Montpetit and Jeffrey Kohrt; and sisters-in-law, Betty Doty, and Joanne Carlson.

Celebration of Life for Dennis will take place 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Village Pizzeria in Dresser, WI. Private burial to take place at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Wolf Creek Township, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to family for a non-profit of their choosing.
