Denise Triandafilou

Denise Triandafilou, 88, of North Potomac, MD, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2025.

Denise was a devoted and loving mother to seven children: Jonathan, Andriana (Michael), Alexandra (Gus), Nicholas (Nancy), Shauna (Tom), Danae (Greg), and Stefan (Jennifer). She was a proud grandmother (“Nana”) to 27 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother (“Great Nana”) to five.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Evan Triandafilou (Papou), with whom she shared a lifetime of love, family, and devotion.

Denise’s life was centered on family, faith, and unconditional love. Her warmth, wisdom, and strength shaped not only her own children’s lives, but those of every generation that followed. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, traditions (who can forget Kenny Rogers “Til the Season Comes Round Again”), home-cooked meals, and the deep bonds of family.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held at The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George, 7701 Bradley Blvd., Potomac, MD on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00a.m., followed by the Liturgy at 11:00. Interment will be private.
