Job 14: 1-2 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.

2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

It is with immeasurable sadness that we share the passing of Delbert Durrant Gayle (affectionately known as Spring), cherished family member and unforgettable presence to all.

Valiant though the journey, Delbert transitioned serenely to the Divine Almighty on July 16th,2025.

He was the seventh child of seven children born to the marriage of Alexandra Gayle and Alberta Gayle.

Delbert attended the Aenon Town Primary School in Trelawny, Jamaica.

Delbert prided himself on his life’s purpose-taking loving care of others. As a teenager, he would provide for his mother and siblings. He was an entrepreneur who would sell sugar cane and jelly coconut.

Delbert was a man of discerning faith and was once a member of a Pentecostal church in Jamaica.

Delbert immigrated to the United States of America in 1978 and adopted America as his new home. He managed to continue his entrepreneurship as a Tree Surgeon in which he trimmed trees and manicured lawns. Delbert’s love for plants is displayed in his craft while leaving his clients satisfied.

Delbert was married to Fay Gayle, and they both had two children, Clive Gayle and Kerry-Ann Gayle. Sadly, Clive passed away in July of 1997, leaving Delbert devastated. In addition, Delbert is the proud Grandfather of four amazing Grandchildren. He taught his eldest son to ride his bike, and Delbert was an awesome Grandpa.

Delbert leaves behind his only daughter Kerry-Ann Gayle and four amazing grandchildren,

siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins; devoted friends, Gregory Holcomb, Thomas Taylor,

Joseph Bennett, Ronette Lee.
