Plainfield – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Jacques, 64, who departed us on Monday, August 11, 2025. Born in Southbridge, MA, Debra was the beloved daughter of the late Normand and Anita (Denno) Jacques.
Debbie dedicated many years to serving her community at Plainfield Elementary School, where she brightened the days of countless children while working in the school cafeteria. Affectionately known as Miss Debbie, she had a gift for connecting with others. Her warm spirit and unwavering kindness were evident to anyone who met her; she possessed a heart of gold and selflessly offered support, often giving her last to help others.
Debbie is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Edward H. Peach II and his wife Amanda of Pomfret, CT, and Joshua M. Peach and his wife Felicia of Dayville, CT. She leaves behind three sisters, Carol Worth of Southbridge, MA, Nancy Comeau of Dudley, MA, and Peggy Harrington of Woodstock, CT. Her legacy also includes two cherished granddaughters, Madyson and Scarlett, three step-grandchildren, Lacey, Aubrey, and Austin, and her beloved cat, Sassy. She is also survived by three nieces and five nephews who brought her great joy.
Relatives and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate her life at a graveside service on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 12 PM at New Notre Dame Cemetery, North Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA 01550. In her memory, we honor the love, laughter, and kindness she shared with everyone she encountered. For a memorial guestbook, please visit www.GilmanAndValade.com.
May her soul find peace as we cherish the beautiful moments we shared with her.
