David G. Hoffmann, 82, of Lake Geneva, WI, formerly of Wood Dale, IL, was born on April 15, 1943, in Chicago, IL, to George and Margaret Hoffmann. He passed away on November 17, 2025, at home with his wife by his side following complications of heart disease. Beloved husband of Jeanine (née Denny) and loving father of Mark Stanton (Mary, née Kraszewski), Amy Louise (Jason Accola), and David Patrick (Dr. Victoria Ursitti-Hoffmann). Proud grandfather of Madelyn Rae Hoffmann, Gavin David Hoffmann, Julian David Accola, and Gianni Vincent Hoffmann, and dear brother of the late Donald (the late Alice) Hoffmann. A graduate of Leo High School’s Class of 1961, David earned his master’s degree from Loyola University and continued advanced studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He built a notable career as an Industrial Psychologist and founded David G. Hoffmann & Associates in 1972, guiding executives from Fortune 500 companies through major career transitions for twenty years. Reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit, David and Jeanine founded Arts & Artisans in 1988 and, together with their daughter Amy, grew it into a beloved American handcraft gallery with 10 Chicago locations over 33 years. Music was woven through every part of David’s life, from singing with the world-renowned Paulist Choir of Chicago starting at age ten to directing the Paulist Chorale for nearly forty years, inspired by Father Eugene F. O’Malley’s example of excellence and integrity. David will be remembered for his generous mentorship, steady guidance, and the many lives he touched with his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering encouragement. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 12-4 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL. Family and friends will meet on Monday, November 24th, at the Church of the Holy Ghost, 254 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, IL, for a Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
