David Black

Mr. David Black, age 76, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at his home in Trenton, Tennessee.

He was born on August 11, 1948 in Humboldt to the late Lannon Leroy Black and Esther (Truett) Black Pafford. Mr. Black was a member at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Milan. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his military service he worked as an over-the-road trucker until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Vonice (Drawdy) Black of Trenton, Tennessee; two daughters, Dee Jones and her husband Daryl of Medina, Tennessee and Dana Simmons of Lobelville, Tennessee; two sisters, Shelby Fee of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Shirley Senn and her husband Phillip of Tiptonville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Drew Jones and Abbey Jones, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, at 134 Oak Grove Road, in Milan with Phillip Senn officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the church on Tuesday.
