Dan passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 47. Beloved husband of Heather (nee Kennedy). Loved son of Greg and Jan Feld. Brother of Andy Feld and Cassie (Will) McCawley. Son-in law of Michael Safford-Kennedy and Deb Kennedy. Brother-in-law to Robert (Kristin) Kennedy and Laura Kennedy. Uncle to Grace Feld, Ben Feld, Caleb Kennedy and Parker Kennedy. Further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. He was also supported through the years by his four-legged best friends-his Boston Terriers: Tommy, Minne, Tipsy, Jade, Rosie and Hope.
Dan was intelligent, motivated and hardworking as evidenced by his short but impressive career at P & H Mining as an engineer. His woodworking and sewing projects demonstrated how creative and talented he was. He expressed his deeply generous nature with his work leading Habitat for Humanity crews where he met and proposed to Heather, serving with the church council and helping mentor middle school students with science competitions. He found relaxation with their camping trips and morning campfires. He treasured his family and his Boston Terriers and spent as much time as he could loving and caring for both.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at HOUSE OF PRAYER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3900 W. Ryan Rd, Franklin from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Memorial Service at 12:00 PM. Luncheon to follow. Private burial service with family will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Boston Terrier Rescue of Greater Houston, from where Rosie and Hope were adopted. The organization can be found at houstonbostonrescue.org.
