Damari Ryshon Harrell was born on August 4, 2008, in Martin County. He was the son of Velma J. Coleman and the late Randolph Harrell, Sr. Damari was affectionately known as “BoBo” by his family.
Damari attended public schools in Bertie County and was a rising Junior at Bertie High School. He was a member of the Bertie Middle School and AAU Basketball teams. At an early age, Damari joined Cedar Landing Missionary Baptist Church where he attended with his father.
Our beloved Damari gained his wings on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Damari leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Velma J. Coleman of Windsor, NC; grandmother, Mary Bond Smallwood of Windsor, NC; seven siblings, Dazshalia Coleman, Davondrick Coleman, and Reginald McNair, Jr. (RJ) of Windsor, NC; Randolph Harrell, Jr. (Natasia) and Fredirone Harrell (Maya), all of Virginia Beach, VA, Kendra Bazemore (Kerry), of Windsor, NC and Tomeka Sanderlin, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; six uncles, James Bond and Larry Coleman, Jr. (Aiesha) of Windsor, NC, Robert Bond (Leslie) of Williamston, NC and Anthony Coleman and Larry Bernard Coleman of Jackson, TN; and Rudolph Harrell of Windsor, NC; one aunt, Bertha Harrell of Windsor, NC; and two special cousins, Laila Bond and Larry “LL” Coleman, III.
Damari loved his family, enjoyed spending time with his friends, and had a passion for playing basketball. His loving family, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, will forever cherish his many fond memories.
