Dalton Hammer

Dalton J. Hammer, 28, of Walnutport, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus.

Born in Allentown, Dalton was the beloved son of Gregory J. Hammer of Whitehall and Melissa A. (Laky) Hammer of Walnutport.

Dalton was a 2015 graduate of Northampton High School, where he proudly played football. After graduating, he continued his love for the game by coaching at Catasauqua High School, sharing his passion and spirit with the next generation of players. Dalton had a deep love for fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors. He never missed a chance to catch a sports game, especially college football (go Cornhuskers!), and was always up for a garage party with good friends and a cold beer. A proud dog dad to his basset hound, Chief, Dalton was the best son, brother, and friend you could hope for. He brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His big heart, easy laugh, and loyal spirit left a mark on everyone he met, and he will be missed beyond measure.

In addition to his parents, he will be lovingly remembered by his brother Logan M. Hammer of Walnutport; his basset hound, Chief; and numerous friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, from 10 AM – 12 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12 PM at Brubaker Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA, 18037. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dalton’s memory to the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley.
