Obituary for Dallis Barber
Dallis Barber went home to his Lord and Savior on August 18, 2025. He was born April 29, 1940, to Joe and Myrtice Barber of Eastpoint, Florida.
A 1958 graduate of Carrabelle High School, Dallis was captain of the football team and was voted Best All Around, Most Athletic, Most Popular, and Best Personality. After high school, he began a lifelong career working the waters of Franklin County, dedicating his life to the seafood industry.
Dallis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ava Jean Barber; stepdaughter, Cindy Smith; and his parents, Joe and Myrtice Barber.
He is survived by his son, Brent Barber (Sharon); four grandchildren, Cody Barber (Darla), Caden Barber (Vanessa), Cale Barber, and Stephanie Price; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Donna Gander; two brothers, J.P. Barber and Wade Barber; two sisters, Betty Walton and JoAnn Cooper; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Dallis will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of family, and the many lives he touched throughout Franklin County. His legacy will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
