Cynthia Rogers
Cynthia K. Rogers, age 70 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, with her loving family by her side, at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She was born on November 23, 1954 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Glen and Jean (Mulder) Doty.
Cindy grew up in Oswego, IL and graduated from Oswego High School in 1972, she went on to get her bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University in Home Economics and Education.
Cindy was united in marriage on August 14, 1976 to Kenneth Rogers and they spent the next 48 years happily together. Mrs. Rogers was a lifelong member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL where she enjoyed fellowship with her small group and seeking opportunities to serve the Lord. She was a very compassionate woman who worked for about 15 years as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant for the Kendall County Co-op. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them to bake, garden and float in the pool. Cindy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Rogers of Yorkville, IL; her children, Nicholas (Jessica) Rogers of Hampshire, IL, and Jessica Rogers of Joliet, IL; her grandchildren, Genesis and Tycin Stansberry, and Kaleb Rogers; her siblings, Richard (Ellen) Doty of San Diego, CA, Kathy (Steve) Schnaidt of Lake Mills, WI, and Beth (Gilbert) Loewe of FL; also 2 nieces and 11 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Jean Doty; her infant son, Eric Rogers; and brother, Randy Doty.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 IL-47, Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in the Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL.
