Cynthia Kelty

On August 13, 2025, after a long illness, Cindy Ellena Kelty passed away peacefully at the age of 69.

Cindy was born in Pittsburg, California, and during her life she made her home in Belmont, Discovery Bay, and ultimately Brentwood, California, where she resided until her passing.

Cindy was the eldest of four siblings and leaves behind a loving family: her brother Steve Fajardo, sister-in-law Kathy Fajardo, niece Ally Day, and nephew Nick Fajardo; her sisters Rebecca Fajardo and Susanna Fajardo Monzon, and brother-in-law Romeo Monzon; along with her nephews Joseph and Luke Monzon.

Cindy will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and her incredible ability to make others feel truly seen and heard. Whether on the phone or in person, she gave her undivided attention, always eager to listen, offer encouragement, and be present. She was upbeat, joyful, and always on the go—never one to sit still for long and always looking for ways to stay busy and connected.

Her many friends often said:

“Cindy Kelty was my longtime, loyal, and dependable friend. I could always count on her to encourage me through life’s ups and downs. We shared many dinners, countless texts and emails, and a deep love for God and shared ideals. She was generous with her time and gentle in her words. I will miss her dearly and am grateful that she is now at peace.”

Cindy loved being near the water—boating and water skiing brought her great joy—and she shared that joy freely with those around her. She lived her life with warmth, laughter, and faith.

In accordance with her wishes, Cindy will be cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. Instead, her family will host a small private gathering of close friends and loved ones to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity in need, in memory of Cindy’s giving and compassionate heart.
