Cynthia Jones

Cynthia Reams Jones, age 73, was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, Bamaw, and Great-Bamaw. She passed away surrounded by her family on June 24, 2025, following a courageous battle with PSP, Progressive Subnuclear Palsy.

Cindy was born on March 9, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Jack and Judy Reams of Granbury, Texas. Cindy is survived by big brother Steve Reams who also resides in Granbury. Cindy graduated from LD Bell High School in Hurst, Texas in 1970 where her and best friend Wendy Jernigan Allen shared many laughs and happy memories. Cindy later met the love of her life, Timothy Bruce Jones in 1982. After dating for only 4 months, they were married and have spent every day of the last 43 years in love, raising a blended family and making unforgettable memories together.

Cindy was a longtime employee of the Fort Worth ISD, where she started in data entry and information services and eventually ended her career as an elementary school secretary at Woodway Elementary. Cindy enjoyed loving on her grandchildren & great grand baby, fishing, and going on cruises. Cindy and Bruce attended Thorp Spring Baptist Church where they ran the children’s church and taught Sunday school for many years. They later became members and teachers at Sunday school at First Baptist Granbury.

Cindy was proceeded in death by her parent’s Jack and Judy Reams.

Cindy is survived and loved by her husband Timothy Bruce Jones, big brother Steve Reams, and her children Kurt Jones and wife Angela, Kristi Hale Stevens and husband Chris, daughter Mikel Hale Spencer, and Amber Weldon & husband Gil. Bamaw is loved and missed by her grandchildren Dalton Jones, Karson Graziano and husband Taelor, Elle Tripp and Justin Rhine, Reagan Keller and husband Cameron, Trey Weldon, Kaelyn Weldon, Jonathan Taylor, Justin Jones, Logan Spencer, Tarrant Mcclister, Tate Mcclister and great-grandchild Houston Rhine. Cindy is also remembered and loved by many cousins, family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday July 1st at Wiley’s funeral home in Granbury, Texas starting at 10am. Please dress casual per request of Cindy and family.
