Cynthia “Cindy” (Meyer) Halbach

Cynthia

Cynthia (Cindy) M. (Meyer) Halbach, age 68, of rural New Holstein (St. Anna) passed away with her loving family at her side on Sunday, April 27, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 3, 1956, in Chilton, to the late Robert & Evangeline (Angie) (Heimermann) Meyer. Cindy attended St. Ann Catholic Grade School and graduated from Kiel High School in 1975.

On October 2, 1976, she married Michael Halbach at St. Ann Catholic Church. Cindy had worked at Land O’ Lakes in Kiel, Masters Gallery in Plymouth, and retired from Bemis Mfg. in Sheboygan Falls.

Sitting idle was never a trait for Cindy, she was always needing to be kept busy. She loved to make fleece blankets, doll clothes, and beaded Christmas ornaments. If anyone ever needed anything mended/fixed, she was the “go to” person. Spending time with her grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events and school functions, was very precious to her.

Cindy enjoyed going up North, long drives, playing cards with friends and family, as well as an occasional trip to the casino.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael; three children, Stacy (Matt) Savola of Waunakee, WI, Robert Halbach of rural Elkhart Lake (St. Anna), and Jennifer (Brett) Feuerhammer of rural New Holstein (Marytown); four grandchildren, Lexis and Cole Savola, Connor and Parker Feuerhammer; her brothers and sisters, Susan Kuehn, Shirley (Lester) Schmitz, Jeanne Hagenow, Jackie (Dave) Zeamer, David Meyer, Joan (Duane) Lisowe, Bob Meyer Jr. (Special friend, Carol), and Nancy (Wayne) Casper; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dean Haase, Don (Nancy) Halbach, Gerry (JoAnn) Halbach, Jean (Tom) Mueller, Joan (Rick) Mueller, Dan (Karen) Halbach, Paul (Jan) Halbach, Mary Schaar, Deb (Mike) Heus, Steve Halbach, and Scott (Mary Beth) Halbach. Cindy is further survived by numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives, and many friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert & Evangeline (Angie) Meyer; a sister, Patricia Haase; a brother, Donald Meyer; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Syl & Helen Halbach; a sister-in-law, Kathleen (Tootie) (Charlie) Kraus; two brothers-in-law, Charles (Charlie) Hagenow and Bruce Schaar and a few nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
