Cora Reed

Cora Dean Reed, age 93, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Manchester, TN.

Mrs. Reed was born in the Blanton’s Chapel community to her late parents Roy A. Tolliver and Ludie Amelia Daniel Tolliver. She was a homemaker for most of her life and she also worked as a hairdresser for 12 years. Mrs. Reed was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Blanton’s Chapel and played organ and piano for the church for many years. She loved animals, music, antiques and working in her flower garden. Mrs. Reed and her late husband, Herbert Reed, both enjoyed restoring antique cars and were members of a local car club. She also took two trips to Israel with her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Reed.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her sister, Jean Pierce; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00am in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Grosch and Bro. Keith Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery in Coffee Co.
