Christopher George Goodin, age 49, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Chris was born December 4th, 1975, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Chris grew up in central Missouri and graduated from Eugene Cole County R-V High School in Eugene, Missouri. He was known for his huge love of the outdoors and lived life with a deep appreciation for nature. An avid outdoorsman, Chris was a skilled hunter and found great joy in fishing and arrowhead hunting. While exploring the great caves of Missouri. His adventurous sport and quiet strength were matched by only his love for his family and friends. Above all else, Chris’s greatest joy in life was his daughter, Mikaela, whom he loved deeply and was endlessly proud of.
Chris is survived by his parents, Butch Goodin and Frances Mock; his daughter, Mikaela Goodin; his brother, Scott Goodin; and nephew Derek O’Brien Weekly Goodin.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Judy Goodin; his half brother, Dwayne Bastress; his half sister, Sheri Bastress; and stepsister Cindy Vache.
In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made to his daughter, Mikaela Goodin, in memory of her father.
Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the beautiful Missouri outdoors he cherished so much.
A service will be held Friday, November 7th at 4:30pm at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
