Christine Mitchell

Rita Christine Crutchfield Mitchell, 83, of the Hardin Community, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025.

Born August 12, 1942, at Sheridan, Arkansas, “Squirt”, as she was affectionately known, was a daughter of the late Julius and Velma Kemp Crutchfield.

She had been a dog groomer in Tennessee and Hardin.

Christine loved gardening and was a big collector of many different things, especially coffee & tea pots.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Mitchell, to whom she was married February 11, 1977, in Liberal, Kansas; two brothers and three sisters.

Christine is survived by her brother-in-law, Bob Mitchell and his wife Melody, and numerous nieces & nephews.

She will be interred in Hardin Cemetery alongside her beloved William; services are to be private.
