Christine McDonald

Christine L. McDonald, 81, of Marion, passed away in her home at 7:21 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Friday, March 17, 1944, to Glen and Geraldine (Bugbee) Johnson.

Christine graduated from Pennville High School. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and fishing.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Bridget Swaney of Tell City; son, Wallace (Jackie) McDonald of Hartford City; grandchildren, Desirea McDonald of Hartford City and James (Alissa) Swaney of Cannelton; brother, Louis Johnson; sister, Roberta Horn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Geraldine Johnson; grandson, Jackson McDonald; granddaughter, Lisa Marie Rowe; and brothers, Robert Johnson, Tom Johnson.

At Christine’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. She will be cremated.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
