Christine Borg

Christine Eve Borg peacefully passed away on October 30, 2025. Daughter of Albert and Dorothy Farrell, daughter in law of Joseph and Carmela Borg. Loving wife of Bart Borg for 47 years, sister of Janice Farrell, Aunt of Jason and Danny Farrell; sister in law of Shirley Farrell, Aunt to to Connie, Greg, Donna and Christopher Farrell of Houston, Texas. Cousin to many in the USA, Malta and Australia; niece by marriage to Bart’s Aunt Connie in San Mateo.

Born in Vallejo, California her family moved to San Francisco in 1958 where she lived most of her life. She went to St. John’s Grammar School for a short time, then transferred to St. Michael’s Grammar school as it was closer. She graduated from St. Paul’s High School, and continued her education at City College of San Francisco. After CCSF, she went to San Francisco State. After two years at State, she was hired by the S.F. Recreation and Parks Department and continued there for more than 35 years. She spent most of her working days at the Upper Noe Playground (Day Street Park).

Christine was well known for her outstanding Tiny Tots Programs and Kids Gym Programs. She ran a Senior Citizen Program for the locals every Wednesday with the help of her Supervisor, Mabel Burroughs. She coached many softball and volleyball youth teams and had Championship teams from Douglas playground (The Douglas Dames). She played softball and volleyball with Claire Anderson and friends from various parts of the City. She was an animal lover, especially her horse, Morning Girl, who she rode for 15-20 years. She adored her many cats and dogs, (Darla and Millie).

Christine was an avid San Francisco Giants fan and attended many games with her husband, Bart.

She was beloved by many and will never be forgotten.  Rest in peace my beloved Christine.
