Cheryl Arnold Burgess, 64, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at home, surrounded by family.

Born Cheryl Ann Arnold in Beaumont, Texas, to Betty Mathews Arnold and Erich R. Arnold.

Cheryl is survived by her Gorman High School sweetheart, husband of 47 years, Billy Burgess; daughter Alissa and husband Justin Stafford; daughter-in-law and son-in-law Michelle and West Bell; granddaughter Tillye Burgess; grandson Cutter Bell; brother Mark Arnold, and many other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her son Grant Lane Burgess, parents, sister Dorenda Rogers, brother Kirk Arnold, sister-in-law Angie Burgess Buckley, and grandnephew Tyler Barton.

She lived a life of faith, caring, and kindness. After nine years of focusing on nurturing her children, she embarked on a 28-year career in pharmaceutical software support. Getting to know the many wonderful pharmacists, techs, and their families across the country was a highlight of her work.

Affectionately known as Coco to many, attending 4-H banquets, baseball games, stock shows, races, birthdays, and graduations was always a priority.

Her caring also extended to the community through groups such as Meals on Wheels, Christian Women’s Job Corps, and Candlelight Tour of Homes.

Visitation will be held on July 2, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, TX. A service to celebration Cheryl’s life service will be held at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, TX, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Gorman, TX, at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan).
