Charlotte Olson

Charlotte M. Olson, 72, of Sterling, Colorado, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 in Brush, Colorado. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th at Faith Cornerstone Church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jodie Harless officiating. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Charlotte was born February 2, 1953 in Cando, North Dakota to Elmer and Darlene (Klipfel) Olson. She attended schools in Cando, graduating from Cando High School. Charlotte married Lyle Larson on July 18, 1973 and the two were married for 32 years. She had several business ventures through the years, worked for the Logan County Courts, and then at N.E. Agri Service from 1988 until she retired in July of 2021.

Charlotte was a member of Peace Lutheran Church for 32 years then Faith Cornerstone Church. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Club, Women of Faith, and Stonecroft Ministries Sterling After 5. Charlotte loved dancing and was a member of Boots In Motion. She enjoyed having coffee with friends, walks with her dog Patron, and always dreamed of going to the Kentucky Derby. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charlotte will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. She truly touched the hearts of so many people throughout her life.

Charlotte is survived by her mother Darlene Olson of North Dakota, daughter Shawna Larson-Hernandez of Sterling, grandson Anthony Larson and wife Ashley of Kiowa, CO, granddaughter Cassaundra DeMaria husband Diego & children Giovanni and Mateo of Sterling, grandson Donovan Hernandez of Sterling, sister Debbie Woods and husband Art, brothers Jerry Olson, Gary Olson and wife Rosie, Bryon Olson, Brad Olson and wife Min all of North Dakota, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father Elmer Olson, grandparents Ida and Ed Klipfel, and grandmother Selma Lund.
