Charles “Bubba” Edgar Brewster, 79, of Star City, AR, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at home. Charles was born October 11, 1945, in Star City, AR, to the late Edgar and Merle Fullbright Brewster. He was an Army Veteran, and he worked as a Carpenter and was a member of the Arkansas Carpenter Local #690, a member of the Southside Baptist Church, a member of Friendship Sunday School class, and also a former Fire Chief of Glendale Volunteer Fire Department.
Also preceding him in death are two sisters, Marie James and Mildred Gregg, and one brother, John Brewster.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Vicki Johnson Brewster of Star City; one son, Michael Todd Brewster (Lora) of Bryant, AR; one brother, William Brewster (Margaret) of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Vera Reynolds and Janice Rodgers both of Star City; two grandchildren, Nathan and Ethan Cash; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Southside Baptist Church in Star City with Bro. Bruce Huddleston and Bro. Jarrod Pettit officiating. Burial will be in Best Cemetery. Pallbearers are Larry McGriff, Chris Reynolds, Mitch Johnson, Dakota Johnson, Cody Andrews, and Jeff Bates.
