Cecilia F. Pacis, nee Fernandez, 88, of Chicago passed away on October 2, 2025. Beloved wife of Felipe. Loving mother to Nathan (Lalaine), Fran (Rob) Hutchings, Joel and Michelle. Cherished Lola of Tyler, Jaryd, Carter, Austin, Brady and her beloved grand-dog, Millie Girl. Dear sister of Curie (the late Jose) Sunga, Lutgarda (Jimmy) Franco and Myrna Fernandez. Adored daughter of the late Agaton and Filomena Fernandez. Cecilia will be missed by many friends and family. She loved to read, especially romance novels – but always starting from the back first! She also enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Visitation Friday, October 10th 3-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, IL 60646. Funeral Saturday, October 11th 9:15am from the funeral home to St. Padre Pio Catholic Church, 5601 N California Avenue, Chicago, IL 60659 for a funeral mass at 10am. Entombment All Saints Cemetery.
