Carson City woman held on $2 million bail for child sex crimes
- November 21, 2025

April Ann Gieke, a 34-year-old Carson City woman, was charged with two counts relating to child pornography, specifically of using a minor for sexual portrayal when that juvenile was aged 14 or above.
Gieke was ad-booked on the two warrant arrests at the Carson City Jail where she was already being held on a related charge.
According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, records show Gieke had been arrested in July 2025 in related charges, at which point she admitted to having sexual relations with a juvenile neighbor.
On Thursday, she was charged with two more felonies relating to the incidents issued out of Carson City Justice Court November 16, 2025.
Gieke is accused of having sexual encounters with the minor and recording the encounters on her cell phone or other recording device.
Each charge carries a $1 million bail for a total bail amount of $2 million.
Furlong said investigations into the case are ongoing.
