Carson City School Board to discuss new computer science material, legislative update and more Tuesday
The next Carson City School Board meeting will take place Tuesday, March 11, 2025 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room of the Community Center locate at 851 E. William St.
The board will discuss the elementary computer science instructional material selection process for the district. At the time the agenda was sent out, no other information was provided on the process, or what materials will be discussed.
A contract with an independent audit firm, Silva Sceirine & Associates, for fiscal year 2025 in an amount not to exceed $72,500.
Superintendent AJ Feuling will provide a Nevada Legislative Update to the board and report on any items of interest relating to education this session.
The process for nominating a district staff member for the annual Nevada Association of School Boards (NASB) awards will be discussed.

Pre-K, Kindergarten, New and Returning Student Updates and Registration is open to families. Parents can visit their child’s respective school from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and provide the following required information at the time of registration:
- Birth Certificate and Immunization Record
- Must be 5 years of age on or before, August 1, 2025
- Proof of residency in Carson City
